Schedule: (Part-Time) Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 12 A.M - 8 A.M.

Position Overview

Under the direction of the House Manager, the Youth Care Worker assists adolescent wards of the state with preparing for adulthood by providing counseling, employment assistance, and educational/life skills training. A Youth Care Worker refers residents for services, as needed; collaborate with case managers in reviewing and planning individual service plans; and provide transportation, as needed.

Knowledgeable of DCFS policies, procedures, and regulations is an asset.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or at least 60 hours of college credits
  • One year's experience working with high-risk adolescents, preferably in a residential setting
  • 3 year's experience working with youths at risk without college degree
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clear driving record
  • Reliable transportation (proof of insurance may be needed)
